About Qodesh CM

Nearly four decades of engineering with the environment, not around it.

Our story

From Qodesh Engineering Services, Inc. to Qodesh CM

Our roots trace back to 1986, when Qodesh Engineering Services, Inc. was established in Baltimore. That firm is now the predecessor to QPS, Inc., which continues the practice today under the Qodesh CM & Qodesh Engineering names. Over 40+ years, that continuity has made us one of the longest-operating minority-owned businesses in the civil and structural engineering design and construction industry.

Our project work spans the northeastern u.s., from virginia to new york, serving institutions, government agencies, and private developers who need a firm that treats client trust and quality management as inseparable from the engineering itself — on-time delivery, minimal change orders, and plans that hold up under real construction conditions.

“Qodesh” (pronounced ko-DESH) comes from a Hebrew and Aramaic root meaning set apart, consecrated, and dedicated — a name the firm treats as a standard for how it practices, not just what it's called.

Sustainability isn't an add-on

As global citizens as much as engineers, we design toward Net Zero performance and treat environmental interdependence as a design constraint — not a marketing line.

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
  1. 01

    Plan

We start with master planning grounded in site realities, community needs, and long-term environmental performance.

  2. 02

    Design

Structural, civil, and environmental engineering come together in designs built for durability, efficiency, and Net Zero goals.

  3. 03

    Implement

Hands-on project and construction management carries each design through to a quality-controlled, on-schedule delivery.

How we work

Plan. Design. Implement.

A single team carries every project through all three phases, so intent set on day one survives all the way to closeout.

Management principles

Four principles run through every engagement

Built on the Baldrige Excellence Framework's emphasis on systems thinking, visionary leadership, and organizational learning.

Collaboration

We work as an extension of the owner's team, not a vendor handing off deliverables.

Engagement

Every stakeholder — client, community, and contractor — stays informed throughout the project.

Focus on Results

Decisions are measured against outcomes: schedule, budget, quality, and long-term performance.

Responsiveness

Questions get answered and issues get addressed on a timeline that respects the project's pace.
